Descripcion

As a Data Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, acquiring and determining the correct use of data. The Data Acquisition Specialist is essential to ensure having the information required by our business and the products developed for our clients. The Data Acquisition Specialist position is responsible for interprets business requirements from Business Units, Sales and Products. 

As part of the Data & Analytics team, you will develop and execute tactical plans that will lead to the acquisition of new data assets, working closely with sales, marketing, product management, finance and data quality teams to understand product strategy, voice of customer and the data needs of the enterprise. The Data & Analytics department are accountable for develop information solutions for the client portfolio.

Additional responsibilities of the Data Acquisition Specialist include:

- Facilitate new data integration by working with cross functional teams. Managing a full understanding of data asset including inputs, ingestion, quality/fill rates, usage, value, performance, and future usages with their implications.

- Proactively identify and research new sources of data that will enhance both existing products and drive the development of new products and services.

- Function internally as a data oriented subject matter expert and be able to interpret and translate legal terms into business based permissions and uses.

- Construct and negotiate data acquisition agreements that will allow the enterprise to fully monetize its data assets in order to drive revenue.

- Manage the data acquisition process to ensure new sources of data are properly analyzed and meet quality expectations.

- Develop, maintain and expand relationships with data suppliers.

- Recommending solutions to improve new and existing data structures.

- Manage and monitor both data expenses and SLA metrics.

Required Skills of the Data Acquisition Specialist:
 

    At least 4+ years of industry experience in the data, software or data related services.
    Able to develop data acquisition strategies.
    Management level analytical expertise with the ability to design data tests that will effectively evaluate the quality and value of data.
    Ability to work effectively and multi-task within a fast paced, cross-functional environment
    Knowledge of new trends in information use
    Knowledge and contacts of public and private sources of information
    Budget Management Domain
    Excellent communication, leadership, and motivational skills

Preferred Skills of the Data Acquisition Specialist:

    Able to understand the intersection between of data management practices and technology, and then leverage that insight into strong data agreements.
    Data Acquisition experience.
    Must be very inquisitive and highly organized, with a strong focus on execution.

Education

    Bachelor’s Degree or higher
