Job Description Monitor trends and determine impacts of data science related technologies and techniques. Formulate and facilitate data science and analytics strategies. Use data visualization, statistical analysis, pattern recognition, and machine learning along with domain knowledge and subject-specific models to solve science, engineering, and commercial problems. Data extraction/transformation/loading, data filtering and quality control, exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and visualization. Ability to work with both structured and unstructured data. Lead data science and analytics projects involving new technologies, including proof of concepts and pilots. Present strategies and recommendations to senior management. Work directly with 3rd party vendors and various internal teams to capture and shape vendor strategies and roadmaps. Promote data science technologies and facilitate implementation into the organization. Mentor technical subject matter experts on data science related technologies, techniques and practices. Communicate with peers, superiors and subordinates, on operating plans and procedures and other security matters. Comply with directives, plans, procedures, guidelines, legal requirements and other adopted Company commitments with regards to Quality, Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE). Participate actively in any QHSE activity required as part of the assigned duties and in general, in any other initiative implemented by the Company to improve QHSE performance. Promote compliance with QHSE standards and guidelines at work, including any work engaging contractors, suppliers and customers. Required Skills Prior Process plant industry experience would be ideal Strong theoretical foundation in mathematics, statistical inference, and probability Strong technical and analytical skillset (R, Python, Data Visualization, Data Mining, Machine Learning, etc.) Clear and fluent communicator (English and Spanish fluency) Agile and capable of working on multiple projects at the same time Amazon Web Services and OSI PI expertise Experience with the output and assessment of predictive models for time series data Skills: analytical, communication, results oriented, problem solving. Required Experience Undergraduate degree in Engineering or Science program coupled with Masters in Data Science or Business/Data Analytics) 2+ years of experience applying statistical or machine learning models to real business problems (ideal but not mandatory) Job Location CAĆETE, Lima, Peru Position Type Full-Time/Regular
